Ψ - All In The Mind - Anish Chhetri

Many of us have probably have gone through a situation where somebody doesn't believe your mental, social, and physical well-being. Simply, this is because they are invisible and hidden away from traditional observation. Which in effect, leads to discrimination, understandability and in some worse cases mistreatment due to poor medical practices (which can give rise to more fatal diseases/disorders).

It's all common knowledge now that even though we cannot see it, Schizophrenia does in fact exist. However, in the past the general consensus between academics in medicine believed it was the workings of the devil on the mind. Thus, primitive trepanning and lobotomy emerged as treatments to such disorders. But shockingly, the lack of awareness and standard medical education in certain countries such as India, China, Nigeria, etc have lead to a modern version of these treatments to still carry on. Nevertheless, this is more the fault of the medical infrastructure and the central government than the doctors, psychologists, physicians, etc.

Psychology is the subject that explains the unknown and attempts to make sense of the chaos that is, the human mind. If it wasn't for Psychology's recent advancement through the 20th century, I can assure you, every doctor would have probably prescribed you a drug for every problem you had.
